DRAPER FLORIDA HOUSE - COLOR SUGGESTIONS

Hi Christina!
Congratulations on your awesome vacation home!
So, as usual, I'm giving you a few color suggestions for each area.
I chose colors that would be good background colors or add a beachy Florida vibe.  They should look really good on Air B&B sites or other rental sites.   With the warm temperatures in Florida and humidity, I thought it best to avoid warm colors for walls - no need to add more heat - so I have kept to cool grays and ocean blues and greens.
I haven't used any too dark or too vibrant color - keeping it light and airy and beachy.

Actually, they didn't do too bad with this place except for the yellow...they mostly kept to cooler tones.

With this amazing view, I would keep the open living areas neutral so the view stands out as the best feature.  Its easy to add blues and blue greens in pillows and accessories.  I've suggested more definite color for the walls in the girls bedroom and the bathrooms.  I did not choose colors with a lot of pigment in them because the grayed down colors will be more livable and beautiful even though at first you will think they are less colorful on the swatches, they are better as background on walls and will intensify when painted on multiple walls.  The master bedroom has a very colorful headboard, so I went back to grays for that room, but very light hues.

SUGGESTIONS FOR LIVING/DINING/KITCHEN OPEN AREAS

Look at these colors - light cool colors for this main living area and then
feel free to add more brighter color in pillows, etc.

BENJAMIN MOORE SLEIGH BELLS
(on the wall with the oval mirror)

SHERWIN WILLIAMS FLEUR DE SEL
light and airy barely there color

SHERWIN WILLIAMS WORLDLY GRAY
great with the navy tones in the furniture and rug

Etsy has great pillows and pillow covers, and you can pull in some of the Aqua
colors with the Navy into this room with them.   (see example below)

KITCHEN

I noticed that there is no backsplash in this kitchen -
and with your great connections with tile I thought I'd add this suggestion to bring in some
beautiful more vibrant color with tile (also, better for rental wear and tear)

there isn't a lot of area that needs a backsplash, but it really would be a great pop of color

The wall behind this dining table and chairs would be a great accent wall to do one of the other colors
 Possible accent wall colors:

SHERWIN WILLIAMS MISTY

BENJAMIN MOOR GLASS SLIPPER

SUGGESTED COLOR FOR BATHROOMS

Try these for the bathrooms
The girls bathroom could also be the same color as your choice for their bedroom walls

BENJAMIN MOORE SMOKE

SHERWIN WILLIAMS SEA SALT

SUGGESTIONS FOR GIRL'S BEDROOM

SHERWIN WILLIAMS SEA SALT
beautiful with white and the bedspreads

BENJAMIN MOORE SMOKE

The Sea Salt and Smoke should look good with the bedding and will look great with the white woodwork.

SUGGESTIONS FOR MASTER BEDROOM
Try a more neutral color and cooler color in the Master bedroom
The bed and lamps are more vibrant and you can bring in pops of color in the bathrooms with glass and towels, etc.

Try these colors:

SHERWIN WILLIAMS RHINESTONE
barely there grey - great background for ocean colors

SHERWIN WILLIAMS FLEUR DE SEL
(just enough color to pop against white)

Christina, let me know if you like these palettes or if I need to change direction.  I think these will work well and photograph great for rental purposes.  I would use satin or eggshell sheen in bathrooms and flat sheen for the rest of the house, and a plain white for the ceilings - also in flat.

Call or text me with any questions.

Best,

Claudine
